Objectives of the plan

The Ebola emergency response plan was developed under the guidance of the High Commission for National Protection (Haut-Commissariat à la protection nationale, HCPN) in connection with putting forward a response to the threat posed by Ebola on a national level and defines the action the government should take

• when a probable or confirmed case of Ebola must be repatriated from the country of origin to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
• and/or when a probable or confirmed case of Ebola is detected within Luxembourg.

The aims of the plan are to determine

• the stakeholders who will manage the crisis;
• the scenarios envisaged;
• emergency measures;
• alert procedures for the event that a probable or confirmed case of Ebola is detected.
