Treatment

There are few medicines currently available that can be administered specifically to treat the Ebola virus disease. The molecule Favipiravir (T-705) is one example.

Luxembourg has received assurances from the French authorities that they will provide supplies of this medication if required from a limited stock held by the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicine and Health Products (Agence nationale de sécurité des médicaments et des produits de santé).

Vaccines

There is currently no vaccine against the Ebola virus available on the market.
