The Council of Governement – adoption of the “Maritime piracy” emergency response plan

On 14 October 2015 the Council of Government has approved and rendered enforceable the maritime piracy emergency response plan.

The plan aims to :

• define the actions of the government,
• determine which bodies will manage the crisis,
  
• set out the process for alerting the authorities and providing information to the public.
• and allow a rapid and coordinated reaction in the event of an incident of maritime piracy occurring.
