On Monday, 3 November 2025, the government will continue to implement its strategy for testing the LU-Alert public warning and information system by conducting its monthly siren network test.
In addition, the cell broadcast (CB) alert channel will be tested at around 11 a.m. on the mobile phones of people based in Luxembourg.
As with previous tests, the test alert transmitted via Cell Broadcast will also be sent to the ‘LU-Alert’ mobile app and the website www.lu-alert.lu. As this is a test alert, you should not react or take any particular action.
The Ministry of Home Affairs would like to remind that the cellular broadcast alert channel is a highly intrusive alert channel. Alerts are sent in the form of priority notifications that appear on the screen of a mobile device even if it is in silent or locked mode, and are accompanied by a sound and vibration. After a few seconds, the sound signal stops. The public authorities use this alert channel when an event is likely to pose a significant or imminent danger to the population and immediate action is expected of them.
Additional information and frequently asked questions are also available on the website www.lu-alert.lu.
